As an adult, we have so many responsibilities , and so many different task that need our undivided attention. And we tend to forget what matters, and what is most important. We forget about ourselves , and our well being… mentally, physically , spiritually, and emotionally. So, here are five tips that I think will help us all find a Peace of Mind.
- Yoga (Hot)
Meditation: So, they recommend you meditate at least 20 minutes during the day right? Well, most of us don’t have that down time on our hands. I recommend to meditate before bed for 20 minutes to 1 hour. This way you are super relaxed, and it is easier to get to sleep , and sleep like a baby. You may even wake up with your thumb in your mouth!! For meditation, I like to get on YouTube and select the 1 hour mediation. It’s super soothing, and it puts me to sleep in a calm state of mind. Sometimes it’s just so hard to get to sleep, taking in all that has gone on that day, and all that you have to look forward to for the next day.
Reading: Try reading before you start your day. Whether , it’s an inspirational quote, bible or whatever you choose. This can determine how you go about your day. So, after you have meditated the night before, you should wake up feeling refreshed. And why not continue and start your day off that way. Whatever you put into your spirit is what you will carry throughout the day. You may handle situations differently , and even make better decisions.
Pray:Pray, pray,pray!! This is something you can do all day long. Pray for a peace of mind, direction, pray for God to order your steps, and shine a light on your path. Pray for clarity, for discernment. Remember, when you pray leave it in God’s hands…don’t worry about it after you pray. Pray and believe!
Talking: To who?! Talk to your spouse. If you don’t have a spouse, talk to a best friend or someone you confide in. Talk about your concerns, share your thoughts, your dreams, and your plan of execution (NO complaining!) When we talk about things it places them into perspective , and you are actually speaking life into what you want to do. Writing also helps too. Most of the time we talk to ourselves, but when you talk about it aloud it can help it all make more sense to you, and then you can begin to take the steps you need to succeed in what it is you are trying to accomplish.
Yoga (Hot yoga) If you are into this short of thing. I say Hot yoga because you sweat out all the toxins in your body, while stretching, and finding your balance. Yoga is all about breathing, relaxing, and pushing your limits. Yoga helps you to exists in your space , and live in the moment. Yoga helps you inspire your spirit. It also, allows you to focus. If yoga is not your cup of tea (in my English accent) Running or walking works too 😉

Sometimes, all these steps are not that easy with all that we have to endure in our life, and all the obstacles, and hurdles that life brings. But, it is up to us to decide on whether or not we are going to allow life to beat us down. So, take that first step and try!!
